Well it’s official guys. Stuart and Warwick have reunited and an official Signature bass is on it’s way to us all!
It was in 1993 when we first heard SZ laying down the Jamiroquai bass grooves on TV and radio. All bass players wanted to know what was behind the man’s tone, and TV appearances and magazine interviews followed revealing Warwick as the basses used. An endorsement soon followed along with many infamous and cutting edge designs - we had the Iroquai “rug” bass, the all white bass including blue L.E.D’s, the Chrome “Ender” along with many of the original basses used. There is no questioning regarding the publicity Stuart gave to Warwick, with bassists seeing him in many magazine adverts, on TV and live on stage using the basses - and is the sole reason many of us have either bought a Warwick or still own and play one to this day!
It now seems to be the time that Warwick repay him with the tribute of his own custom Signature model!
The bass is currently still in the design stages, but it has been confirmed that there will be two models. The first to come will be the high-end, top of the line “pro” model. And the second will be a more affordable solution, but not due to arrive until 2010.
